Sheila Klida, age 90, of Prudenville, died Friday, June 28, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
In her 90 years, she was blessed by a 59 year marriage to a husband that adored her, summers up north on Lake James, winters in Fort Myers, she braved a fear of flying to visit her parents home-land, Ireland; Most importantly she was always surrounded by those she loved and loved her back. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and a long time member of the Houghton-Higgins Elks Lodge 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Richard "Dick" Klida, son; Richard "Rick" Klida, daughter; Kelly Batory and son-in-law; Lawrence Bittner. She is survived by her loving children; daughter; Maryjane Bittner, sons; Tom (Debbie), John (Diana) and Michael (Ruth) Klida; daughter-in-law; Luann Klida; son-in-law; Joe Batory, she is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 am Wednesday July 3, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Peter Eke officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday at the church from 10 am until the time of the service.
