Sherry Lee (Hyde) Stephens

Sherry Stephens, age 80 passed away on November 13, 2021 in her home. She was the lifelong wife of James Stephens Sr. (83). They shared 60 years of marriage together. Her dog, Cooper, never left her side.

Born in Detroit, Michigan she was the daughter of Harrison and Shirley Hyde. She was a mother and homemaker for her family and her three children, James Stephens (Karen), Terri Kortman, and John Stephens Jr. (Katelyn).

She is survived by her husband, sister, Mary Mrsan, three children and her grandchildren Shelby, Peter, Steven (Candi), Harrison, Parkar (Cory) Reagan, Quinn, and Evan and by her great grandchildren Lexi, Elijah, and Kalisee and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harrison and Shirley Hyde and her brother in-law, John Mrsan.

She was well known for her arts and love of antiques. She enjoyed trips to the casino and visits from her grandchildren at her up-north home in Mid-Forest Lodge.

Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan on Thursday June 9, 2022 at 11 am. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is handling the arrangements.
