Obituary
Shirley Annette Vanderstow, age 90, of Lake City passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the home of her daughter in Cadillac.
Shirley was born August 4, 1931 in Lansing, Michigan to Howard and Hazel (Burdick) Viges.
She was united in marriage to Gardner Vanderstow on September 22, 1951 in Lansing.
Gardner and Shirley owned Vanderstow Cleaners in Charlotte, Michigan for 22 years and enjoyed working together during that time. Shirley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake City.
Shirley is survived by Martha (Neil) Wolf, Janet (Mike) Hartford, Howard (Lori) Vanderstow and Karl (Jodie) Vanderstow, Thomas Huxtable and eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner, daughter, Denise Huxtable, son-in-law, Vaughn Dontje and her parents and siblings Virgene Viges, Katheryn Dutcher, and Donald Viges.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Lake City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Lake City or Hospice of Michigan.
