Tammy Jo Cannon, of Marion and formerly of the Brooklyn area, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home. She was 54.
Tammy was born on March 8, 1971 in Tecumseh, Michigan. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School, Class of 1989, in Brooklyn, Michigan. In her younger years, she enjoyed collecting pictures of family and friends and making scrapbooks of them. She loved her furry companion, Thelma. Above all, she cherished the time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephew.
She is survived by her parents, Ellsworth "Elvis" and Peggy Bowen; father, John Houck; sisters, Jenny Houck, Jessica (Scott) Cota, and Randie Bowen; nieces and nephew, Charlotte Macintosh, Arya Bowen, Trinity Cota and Gunner Cota (Jessika); great-niece, Adley; and many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob and Sally Stump, and Tom and Edna Bowen.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at the Norvell Community Baptist Church, 204 E. Commercial Drive, Norvell, MI 49263. A luncheon will follow the services also at the church.
