Thomas "Tommy" Harold Niekamp

Thomas "Tommy" Harold Niekamp, age 17, of Houghton Lake passed away on Monday October 7, 2024 at home.

Tommy was born on January 20, 2007 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Peter and Kristina (Toms) Niekamp. He was a junior at Houghton Lake High School. Tommy enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing, boating, tubing, waterskiing and started doing E-Sports. He loved to fix things and loved old cars. 

Tommy is survived by his mother; Kris (Dan) Kelly of Houghton Lake, father; Pete (Wendy Cunningham) Niekamp of Houghton Lake, brother; Jacob Niekamp, maternal grandmother; Janet Toms of  Houghton Lake, maternal grandfather; Douglas (Kay) Toms of Prudenville, paternal grandmother; Rita Niekamp of Houghton Lake, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather; Dr. Harold Niekamp and beloved dog; Tucker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Limberlost on Sunday October 13, 2024 beginning at 1 pm. In-lieu of flowers memorial contributions are asked to be directed to the Thomas Niekamp Scholarship Fund through the Roscommon County Community Foundation.
