Vickie Lynn (Hopkins) Bigford

Vickie Lynn Bigford, 66, of Houghton Lake passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2018 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw.

Vickie was born on August 11, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan to Harry and Sylvia (Kanavel) Hopkins. Vickie grew up in Saginaw and graduated from high school in Roscommon. On March 22, 1975 in Marion, Michigan Vickie was married to Duane Edward  Bigford. The couple moved to Houghton Lake shortly after their marriage. Vickie worked as an Instructional Aide and school bus driver for COOR/ISD for several years. She loved spending time with family, especially spoiling the grandchildren.

Surviving Mrs. Bigford are her loving husband of 43 years, Duane Edward Bigford of Houghton Lake; son, Scott Bigford of Cortland, NE; daughter, Christine (Joseph) Larkin of Montrose; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Betty Jean (Roger) Durga of Bowling Green, IN; several nieces and nephews. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and  two sisters, Barbara Heller and Marialyce Green. 

Memorial Services for Vickie Lynn Bigford will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday November 3, 2018 from Community of Christ Church with Gail Carrick officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Community of Christ Church. Memorial contributions in memory of Vickie are asked to be directed to Community of Christ Church, 7622 Stone School Road, Houghton Lake.
