Cadillac - Wade Douglas Peterson, Cadillac native passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was 56.
Wade was born on March 24, 1969 in Cadillac MI to David and Phyllis (Six) Peterson. He was a 1987 graduate of Cadillac High School. When you remember Wade you will fondly remember him as "Uncle Wade", or "Uncle Wade a Minute". He enjoyed his dry-walling business for many years and recently settled into a new cooking position at Curry House where he was enjoying his new friends and residents.
Wade made many lasting and cherished friendships throughout the years many of which were from his High School days and often spent time chumming with his lifelong buddies. Wade enjoyed a good ballgame....Lions and Tigers alike. You could probably hear him screaming at the TV from time to time. He loved spending time hunting with his buddy Nate and had a strong passion for fishing thanks to his best fishing buddy Capt. Jon Moore. He along with others would fish on Lake Michigan out of Manistee and created countless and irreplaceable memories. Wade will not be forgotten by his buddies or his Cadillac Community.
Wade is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Dennis) Kibbe of Lake City; his sisters, Lori (Dave Lavin) Peterson-Emery of Cadillac and Wendy (Rob) Renwick of Harrietta; numerous dear cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his father, David A Peterson; his brother, William "Billy" Clark; great-grandma, Violet Fauble; his grandma, Joyce Six; and his favorite grandpa, Pete Six.
A gathering and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27th beginning at 3:00 in the afternoon at The American Legion where Wade was also a member. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Lori Emery.
