William K. Foster

William “Bill” K. Foster, age 81 of Lake City, passed away October 23, 2023 at his home.

Bill was born April 16, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to William B. and Saurah  P. (Tate) Foster. He was united in marriage on September 29, 1966 to Ann Barbara Ducharme in Redlands, California.  She preceded him in death March 26, 2005.

Bill retired from Wedin Corporation in Cadillac after thirty years of employment.  He was a very loving and caring person. He enjoyed his grandchildren and loved spending time in the out of doors; especially fishing. He loved cars and gardening and traveling in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He also enjoyed hanging out with his cat, Bud.

Bill is survived by his children, William “Bill” (Renee) Foster II, Helen (Ron) Wiggins, Robert Carothers, James Carothers, John (Lourdelie) Carothers, Patricia (Jeff) Jorgensen and Andrew (Keisha) Carothers, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers, Dan (Carol) Foster, Joe Foster, and Warren (Sandie) Foster and sisters, Joy Foster Henderson and Joan Foster.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dale, Bob, Don and David and sister, Marsha.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday, October 27, 2023  at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City. 

Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
