William "Bill" H. Lewis Jr.

Evart - William "Bill" Harold Lewis Jr., lifetime resident of Evart passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at home with his family by his side. He was 54.

Bill was born on May 9, 1970, in Reed City, Michigan to William and Doris (Dice) Lewis Sr.  He grew up and attended school at Evart High School where he played football and graduated as a member of the class of 1989.  Bill was an active and helpful part of the Evart Community.  He was a familiar face as part of McDonald Chrysler, where he worked for many years.  In younger years Bill was quite the "Car Guy", an appreciation that definitely served him well in his career.  He could often be seen supporting the kids at pop warner football, or in the kitchen whipping up the next delightful dish or plate for friends and family.  Bill entered into marriage with former Torry Wheeler on June 3, 2023, in Paris, MI.   

Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved creating many memories around a campfire or out in the woods camping.  He had a passion for just about anything outdoors, from hunting small game and deer to fishing inland lakes; he truly appreciated nature.  Bill was also a huge fan of Honolulu blue and silver and loved cheering on his beloved Lions and Michigan Wolverines.  He will be deeply missed by his loving family and the Evart community as a whole.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Torry Lewis of Evart; his parents William Sr. and Doris L. Lewis; his three sons, Zachary M. Lewis, Tanner W. Lewis, and Ethan A. Gauld; one sister, Charlene (Kevin) Sauntman; one brother, Keith Lewis; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held from 1pm until 6pm, on March 1, 2025 at the Osceola County Fairgrounds Community Building, located at 101 Recreation Ave., Evart, MI 49631.  A time of fun and fellowship will follow at AJ's Event Center in Evart and all are welcome to join.   Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Torry Lewis.
