William "Randy" Camp Obituary

William Randall "Randy" Camp, of Manton, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 71.

Randy was born on December 8, 1952 in the Panama Canal Zone to parents, William Arthur and Shirley Ann (Medlin) Camp. He was a graduate of Byron High School, where he met the love of his life, and future wife, Marlene. Randy played just about every sport offered, from softball and football to tennis and everything in between. His passion for sports was reflected during his time coaching little league football (and his teams never lost a game!). He loved watching football games on TV and was especially fond of watching U of M college football. On June 24, 1972, he entered into marriage with the former Marlene Gardner in Byron, Michigan. He spent his career working for General Motors in Flint, until his time of retirement. Randy's hard work ethic continued outside of his work as he volunteered as a firefighter for the community. After his retirement, the couple relocated up to Manton, where they made many memories together for the next 20 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors going hunting and fishing. He cherished the time spent with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all, Randy was proud to faithfully give his life to the Lord and dedicated himself to being a faithful Christian.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Camp; children, Chad (Deanna) Camp, Carey Camp, Casey Olrich, and Courtney MacKay; grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor, Baylee, Joshua, Joslyn, Jake, Graycen, Jamison, Shelby, Laine, Nate, Aaliyah and Madison; great-grandchildren, Charlee, Kace, Raylond, Sophia and Spencer; siblings, Rhonda, Rusty (Stacie) and Rene.
