Yvonne Lou “Bonnie” McKeown, age 96 of Lake City, Michigan passed away on June 5, 2026 at home with her family.
Bonnie was born April 14, 1930 in Vogel Center, Missaukee County, Michigan to Milton (Nip) and Mabel (Mills) Molitor.
She was united in marriage to Carl McKeown on March 31, 1951 in Lake City. Carl preceded her in death May 13, 2016.
Bonnie taught primary grades in the Norwich Township School for six years and was also assistant sales manager for the Bohning Co. Ltd., retiring in 1992 after 14 years.
Bonnie loved to camp and was an avid reader. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but most especially loved the time she spent being with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren; a son, James (Karen) McKeown of Lake City and a daughter, Judy (Robert) Conley of Reston, Virginia, grandchildren, Lynn McKeown, Jamie Kohen, Kieran and Meagan Conley.
She is also survived by her brother, Don (Betty) Molitor of Lake City, and sister in laws, Joan Molitor of Lake City and Connie Molitor of Plant City, Florida and many precious nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, John and Ed Molitor.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Michigan or the Ardis Missaukee District Library.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial has not been planned at this time.
