BALLARD, Carolyn Jean (nee Fahle) age 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Houghton Lake on September 15, 2017, from complications of ALS. Born in Detroit, she spent over thirty years as a secretary for the Livonia Public Schools. A breast cancer survivor, she was active in Relay for Life for several years after moving to Houghton Lake.

She is survived by daughters Laura (Jerry) Herships and Michele Ford, Grandchildren Hudson Herships, Trammell and Morgan Ford, brother Douglas (Vivian) Fahle, brother-in-law William (Patricia) Ballard, sister-in-law Karen Fahle, dear friend John Delaney, and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 42 years, Robert, her parents Norman and Dimple Fahle, and brothers Vernon and LeRoy Fahle.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Services for Mrs. Carolyn Ballard will be conducted at 11:30 am Saturday September 23, 2017 at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service at 11:30 am on Saturday.
