Reed City - Richard "Dick" Alan Gerbracht, of Reed City passed away at the age of 69 on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.

Richard was born on September 4, 1947, in Baldwin, Wisconsin to Victor and Fern (Miller) Gerbracht. He entered into marriage with the former Carol Tracy Medendorp on June 16, 1979, in the Upper Peninsula. Richard spent his career working as a residential construction worker for many years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting small game and fishing around the Marion and Sears area. Richard liked to drive the back dirt roads and drink beer when he was younger. He enjoyed playing video games in his spare time. Richard had a strong passion for music, especially old rock-n-roll. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Gerbracht; seven children, Karen (Dennis), Robert (Tonya), Tracy (Scott), Heather (Jim), Shane, Nicole (Richard) and Shawna (Brett); two step-children, Scott and Tammy; 14 grandchildren with one more on the way, Justin, Judy, Jenny, Cole, Evan, Emily, Samantha, Leah, Gary, Cayden, Dennis, Aubree, Leland, Danielle and Wesley; one great-granddaughter with one more on the way, Ava and baby girl; 7 siblings, Ron (Sandy), Debbie (Pat), Kathy (Gary), Sandy (Dick), Dawn, Vicky and Diana; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Judy; and three brothers, Dave, Jerry and Dennis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior also at the funeral home. Officiating will be Brent Pritchard. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
