James Louis Sirpilla, age 73 of Lake City passed away at his home October 15, 2014.
Jim was born October 21, 1940 in Detroit to James and Constance (Martiniano) Sirpilla.
He married the former Wilma Bard July 21, 2001 in Lake City.
Jim was a mechanic and welder. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, two tracking, and snowmobiling. In his later years he enjoyed going to the casino.
Surviving him are his wife Wilma, and children Jenny (Mitch) Lessard of Fenton, Amy Sirpilla of Milford, Andy (Shannon) Sirpilla of Clio and Jeff Sirpilla of Wyoming and five step children.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Nadine and Remy Lessard, Dustin Sirpilla and Jesse and Tristin Sharp, as well as 14 step grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren.
His two sisters Mary (Peter) Lillemoen and Carol Canuelle also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bobby Sirpilla and a brother in law Jeep Canuelle.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on November 1, 2014 at the VFW Lodge , 3013 Bay City Road, Midland, MI 48642 with Rev. Judy Myers officiating.
