Joseph Carmel Pelland, went to be with the good Lord in Heaven on October 16, 2014. He was 93 years old.
He was born November 21, 1920 in Detroit to Paul and Clara (LaGranduer) Pelland.
Jospeh served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a third class machinist mate.
He was retired from the City of Detroit after 32 years. He loved watching the Detroit Tigers play.
Joseph is survived by a son, Joseph P. Pelland, daughter in law, Diane Pelland and daughter, Cheryl Pelland; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda R. Pelland and a brother Louis Paul Pelland.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Lake City with Rev. James VonTobel officiating.
Burial will take place in the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield.
