Linda Sue Cohee, 68, of Prudenville passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.

Linda was born on February 18, 1948 in West Branch, Michigan to Lee and Lillian (Twinning) Selmes. Linda grew up in several areas of the world as her father was a lifetime military officer. When he retired from the military the family settled back in West Branch. Linda met a young man at church camp by the name of Phillip Karl Cohee. The two were married in Whittemore, MI. January 13, 1967. Linda worked as a Clerk for Wendy's, McDonald's and over 10 years at Carter's in Houghton Lake. Linda was a member of Community of Christ Church. She enjoyed knitting, donating her projects to Chemical Bank for distribution. Linda was the ultimate team mom going to all the children's and grandchildren's games and events.

Surviving Mrs. Cohee are her loving husband of 50 years, Phillip Karl Cohee of Prudenville; daughter, Mellissa Bennet of Grayling; two sons, Jonathan Cohee of Chicago, IL, and Matthew (Kathy) Cohee of Pierre, SD; seven grandchildren; mother, Lillian Torsch of West Branch; three sisters, Luanne (Jim) Barr of West Branch, Mary (Mark) Hopewell of West Branch, and Donna (Terry) McGuire of West Branch; several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lee Selmes. 

Memorial Services for Linda Sue Cohee will be conducted in the spring at Community of Christ Church, 7622 Stone School Road, Houghton Lake. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Memorial contributions in memory of Linda are asked to be directed to Community of Christ Church, (mailing address) 7535 W.
